06/08/2010 APPEAL OF ACCESS WINS ENVOY FOR NORTH SYDNEY
Envoy Advanced Technologies has leased 180m² at 213 Miller Street, North Sydney. The company, which builds tailor made applications for Web, Intranet and Mobiles, moved into its new premises from offices in Frenchs Forest.
Alex Brownlee from m² Office Leasing initially made contact with the company when she noticed their lease was about to expire.
“Over several conversations I became aware that Envoy Advanced Technologies was winning new business, but finding it difficult to attract the quality staff needed to fulfill their obligations. Frenchs Forest was perceived as too far to commute,” said Alex.
Alex introduced Envoy Advanced Technologies to the concept of moving to North Sydney or Chatswood and arranged several property inspections.
“Envoy shortlisted a few properties in Chatswood and North Sydney but they were still uncertain about location. In the end, they settled on North Sydney due to the level of amenities available – their staff often work outside standard business hours.”
Alex says that three driving forces contributed to Envoy’s final decision to relocate to 213 Miller Street.
“Fortunately, 213 Miller Street had both a fit out in place that suited Envoy Advanced Technology’s needs and great facilities, such as recently upgraded lifts, onsite café, showers, bike racks and also a squash court – the only building in North Sydney to have one. Furthermore, the building owner, NMBE, showed flexibility in lease term and bank guarantee levels. These three factors helped secure the deal and as a result, both my client and the tenant are very happy.”
Envoy Advanced Technologies is now moving ahead, and finding it easier to secure the staff they need. The company recently worked with Jetabroad – an online travel website – to custom design applications for their booking service. As a result, the travel agency’s sales volumes have increased.
